Listening, Growing, and Creating Together: The Return of Our Participant-Favorite Pot Painting Workshop


At Uconnex Community Services, true organizational growth isn’t just measured by operational planning—it is defined by how well we listen to the people we serve. When our participants speak up about what brings them joy, purpose, and connection, we listen and take action.

That is why we are thrilled to mark this new milestone in our Day Programs: by popular demand, we are bringing back one of our most beloved, high-value workshops—"Transforming Ordinary Pots into Vibrant Plant Ware."



Participant-Led Growth in Action


Our Day Programs are designed around active engagement, skill development, and personal choice. Following the incredible enthusiasm and creative output from our previous sessions, our participants requested an extra day dedicated to pot art for their home gardens.


To honor their initiative and accommodate growing interest, we have expanded our schedule to open an additional session on Wednesday, August 12th. This session welcomes both returning participants eager to build on their skills and new members looking to join our welcoming community.


Art as a Pathway to Independence and Wellbeing


Creating hand-painted garden pots is more than just a creative pastime—it is a meaningful, therapeutic experience that supports holistic wellbeing:

  • Building Practical Skills: Participants develop fine motor control, spatial awareness, and creative design techniques that foster self-reliance and confidence.

  • Therapeutic Life Balance: Engaging in hands-on art provides a relaxing space to focus, recharge energy, and reduce stress.

  • Pride of Ownership: Bringing home a custom-painted piece to decorate a personal garden instills a deep sense of accomplishment and pride.

Her dedication to listening to participants' ideas and guiding them step-by-step has made our creative workshops a cornerstone of connection and fun at Uconnex.

Our Day Programs are built on dignity, quality, and community. We invite individuals, families, and support personnel to experience the rich, supportive environment we cultivate every day.

  • Location: Level 2, 76–80 Turnham Avenue, Rosanna, Victoria 3084

  • Inclusions: A fully catered lunch and refreshing soft drinks are provided for all participants and their support workers to enjoy.
